The flies listed below were developed on Mossy Creek; of course they'll catch fish anywhere. Most are ideally suited to meadow streams , some to specific hatchs e.g. Trico Emerger. Through my years of fishing I have identified and sometimes developed patterns that I have come to rely on. I'll try to put as many as possible on this site.
I tie all of these flies myself so it will take awhile to get them all up. But here are a few that I wouldn't venture to Mossy without:

Golden Retriever...My signature pattern; Orvis now carries them in all of their more than 500 flyshops.

Tric Emerger...Trico's come off Mossy early, I have seen them in April. By mid-May or certainly Memorial Day most all the fish in the creek in are tuned in to them and are rising.

Distressed Damsel...Trout hit this pattern so hard and take it so deeply that I don't use it (for fear of injuring) unless a fish really ticks me off. Sound like BS?...Try one.
